New to fly fishing? Getting off to a great start begins with instruction. It is important for your development that you learn how to do things properly from the start. New anglers should take a beginning fly fishing class. The Fly Fishing Fundamentals is a step above most beginning classes. This class will teach you the necessary skills, how to develop them, but also why you do things in certain ways.

Not only will you learn how to fly fish, but fly fishing drills you can use at home to improve your skills. Students have two options: a classroom setting or private instruction. The class setting will be held in a group setting on land learning the skills. The private instruction will include the same classroom instruction with actual fishing after a lunch break. The fly fishing class will be conducted in North Carolina near Asheville.

Private Instruction
If you want to learn on your schedule, learn on your own or with a friend, or want to include some fishing in your learning experience, you may prefer the private instruction option. Here you will learn the same materials, but also spend several hours on the water applying your new skills while fishing.

Cost $350 per person, $450 for 2

NC fishing license required
All instruction is by Patrick Weaver. All equipment is provided; however, participants are welcome to bring their own.
